Exhibits When you visit the World Golf Hall of Fame, you will never know what you will see around the next corner. Have your picture taken atop the famous Swilcan Burn Bridge at The Old Course at St. Andrews. Wander among golf's most important trophies. See what it's like to putt on an old-time putting green with a hickory club. Get up close and personal with some of the most prized possessions of many of the Hall's members in the Member Locker Room, which contains over 2,000 items. Now open in the museum's Shell Hall are the 2008 Inductee Exhibits. Featuring the 2008 Class of Sir Bob Charles, Pete Dye, Carol Semple Thompson, Denny Shute, Herbert Warren Wind and Craig Wood, the exhibits feature their inspirational stories accompanied by personal and professional memorabilia, awards and treasures they have accumulated over the years. Also open is "Bob Hope: Shanks for the Memory," the Hall's newest major member-focused exhibition. "Shanks" will be open through all of 2009 and offers the largest collection of Bob Hope memorabilia ever available on public display in more than 3,300 square feet of space. Special exhibits are planned throughout the year and new items are added on a regular basis giving you a reason to return again and again. Sports Museum of America The World Golf Hall of Fame has joined in partnership with the Sports Museum of America (SmA) as a Founding Sports Partner. The relationship with the New York City-based, all-sports museum-experience will include a dedicated kiosk to the World Golf Hall of Fame and its members. As the one-and-only Hall of Fame dedicated to golf, the World Golf Hall of Fame will join over 50 single-sport Halls of Fame, National Governing Bodies, Museums and other sports organizations represented in the SmA, which will officially open in May 2008. Information about SmA can be found at www.sportsmuseum.com.
