What's New at the World Golf Hall of Fame

When you visit the World Golf Hall of Fame, you will never know what you will see around the next corner. Special exhibits are planned throughout the year and new items are added on a regular basis giving you a reason to return again and again.

The 2008 World Golf Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony took place on Monday, Nov. 10 and with the celebration came the unveiling of exhibits that honor and celebrate the new Class of Inductees. The exhibits feature the inspiring stories from the lives and careers of the 2008 Class: Sir Bob Charles, Pete Dye, Carol Semple Thompson, Denny Shute, Herbert Warren Wind and Craig Wood. Hundreds of artifacts, personal mementos, memorabilia and photos were gathered in preparation for the Induction Ceremony and can now be viewed in Shell Hall.

Bob Hope: Shanks For The Memory

The Hall of Fame is featuring one of golf's greatest ambassadors in a special exhibition, "Bob Hope: Shanks for the Memory." Open to the public as of Nov. 8, "Bob Hope: Shanks for the Memory" is the Hall of Fame's showcase member exhibition throughout 2009, offering the largest collection of Hope memorabilia ever available on public display. It features rich storytelling alongside hundreds of artifacts that represent Hope's broad range of talents - from vaudeville to entertaining troops - and naturally, includes his passion for the game of golf. It also includes an "Opening Monologue" video hosted by fellow Hall of Fame member and host of the 2009 Bob Hope Chrysler Classic Arnold Palmer, as well as an audio tour that allows guests to hear Bob Hope tell jokes himself.

Vijay Singh's FedExCup Artifacts On Display!

Items from World Golf Hall of Fame member Vijay Singh's 2008 FedExCup made their way to the museum in the weeks following his crowning achievement in September. Singh's items on display include the shirt, shoes, hat and glove he wore on Sunday of THE TOUR Championship, the golf ball and other accessories he used during that round and other PGA TOUR Playoff events, as well as a replica set of clubs and bag.
